I need funds for the training I require. Print E-mail

It is often difficult to get a job when you don’t have the money to pay for the training you need.   However, there are a number of options you can explore to get help.   You can visit the BEC Career Planning Service to see if you are eligible for government financial assistance through the Ontario Skills Development Benefit Program or Second Career Strategy.   You could also apply for the Ontario Student Assistance Program.   Let us help you explore possible options, including the Wage Subsidy Assistance Program which makes it easier for an employer to hire you and train you on the job.

Second Career Strategy is an Employment Ontario initiative to provide financial support to laid-off workers who require skills training for employment. If eligible, Career Planning Service counselors will assist you in determining a suitable occupational goal and in applying to the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities for funding to return to school and learn a new skill.  For further information call 684-7200, ext. 1200.
