THE AWARDLincoln Fabrics Ltd. and the Business Education Council have joined together to recognize educators who best demonstrate a responsible role in the achievement of school-community collaboration. Two educators -- one from the District School Board of Niagara and one from the Niagara Catholic District School Board -- will be selected and awarded with the Lincoln Fabrics Ltd. Teachers Award during the Business Education Council’s Annual Partners Breakfast (BEC ONLINE EVENT LISTING) on Friday, February 15th, 2008. In addition, each school leader will receive a handcrafted award and framed certifcate, as well as $500 for their respective schools. ELIGIBILITYAll certified teachers employed by the Niagara Catholic District School Board and the District School Board of Niagara are eligible. Teachers must be nominated by a peer -- i.e. a certifed teacher from one of the above school boards. Other interested persons -- including community partners, school council representatives, partners, school council representatives, parents, etc. -- who want to support the nomination of a particular teacher, are asked to contact the principal of the teacher’s school. The principal will endeavor to secure a willing nominator within his/her school.
